10 questions you should ask yourself this year
By now you should already have the goals that you want to achieve this year in mind. A round of applause to you. The fact that you have your goals ready tells me that you know exactly what you want which is amazing. I wish you all the best in 2019.
For those still trying to figure out what you want to do this year, I got you. It's perfectly normal to not know what you want for your goals this year. In order for you to be able to plan a future, you'll need clarity. I have compiled a list of questions to help you think about where you are and help you create a roadmap for where you want to go. Here are 10 questions you should ask yourself to help you in your goal settings. Now, I want you to get a notepad and a pen because we have some writing to do.
Before you write anything down, I want you to start off with a little reflecting. I want you to ask yourself this: What did you learn about yourself from this past year? Write your answer down on your notepad.
Question 2: Which relationship or relationships meant the most to you this past year and why?
Question 3: What was one of the biggest challenges you faced this past year and how did you handle it?
Let's now reflect on some of the moments that made you happy in the last year.
Question 4: What was one of your proudest moments from this past year and why?
Question 5: What was one of the most meaningful compliments you received this past year? Why was it so meaningful to you?
Question 6: What did you do for fun this past year? What was one of your favourite memories?
I think those questions were pretty easy and you should be able to easily answer all the questions above. Once you have all the answers to the questions asked above it's time to move the final set of questions that should help make your desires for 2019 a little clearer.
Question 7: If you could change one thing from this past year, what would you change and why?
Question 8: What was the most meaningful thing someone did for you this past year? What was the most meaningful thing you did for someone else?
Question 9: If you were to brag about one of your accomplishments from this past year, which one would it be and why?
Question 10: Given all your experiences, insights, and lessons learned from last year, what’s the best advice you could give yourself for next year?
